The 2-nd BALKAN PHOTOGRAPHY FORUM PRED MEN will take place in the city of Lovetch from the 13th September 2009.

PRED MEN is an event created by photographers for photographers.

 
After the successful implementation of last year's national competition, the ambition of the organizers of the event for its development is happening, and this year the authors of PRED MEN, 2009 will be representatives of various Balkan countries. Photographers invited to participate in the forum are among the most interesting working artists in the Balkans. They will be delighted to partner with famous Bulgarian  actors, people from the cultural life of the country, as well as professional models of EXPOSE Models. In the event from 2008 before the lens of the authors stood Jocko Rosich, Paraskeva Djukelova, Boyka Velkova, Alexandra Sarchadzhieva, Luben Kanev, Diana Velikova, RASSIM ... 

Each year the BALKAN PHOTOGRAPHIC FORUM – PRED MEN enables the performance and provides support of a young author dealing with photography. In the first edition of the sessions the honor went to Ivan Manchev, an author of young promising future in photography. 

The organizers of the event also establish an annual HONOUR’S AWARD OF THE BALKAN PHOTOGRAPHIC FORUM – PRED MEN, to be awarded to individuals and organizations contributing to the development and promotion of photographic art in Bulgaria. The first award was given on the eve of the official exhibition of the event, Mr. Yuri Treyman.

Besides the main conference program, authors will be able to measure their skills in photography contest ONE SHOT. Its main objective is within a few hours on a given topic, photographers to show their skills in a single frame, which is not given any further digital processing. ONE SHOT will end with an exhibition on a rope and awarding the winner to be determined by the authors. 



The agenda of this year's edition includes a number of diverse activities and photographic events. At the opening, the forum starts with 2 photo exhibitions dedicated to the legend HASSELBLAD.

 Game of luck - an exhibition of the winner of the First Prize of the first edition of the forum - Eugenia Maximova, presenting 25 photographs of different parts of the world /Hasselblad favorite shot with the author/, stated in several series in the form of  installation. 

Within the competition week there will be many lectures and workshops held by representatives and importers of photographic equipment in Bulgaria. The International Festival of Short Films FILMINI will make a presentation, and a selection of original films from the competition program of the festival for 2009 will be presented. 
  

In the final day will officially open an exhibition / wide format photographic copies - 50/70 cm / of BALKAN PHOTOGRAPHIC FORUM – PRED MEN, 2009 and the award ceremony of the selected authors will take place, who will have the pleasure to add to their biography another prestigious award. 

The high quality of the forum is determined by the many recent initiatives and events outside the competitive program. The Organizers – CREATIVE HALL and chain stores PhotoSynthesis enable a wide range of viewers within a year to get closer to the work of authors and the forum as an event presenting photographic art. The official exhibition will be shown in galleries in major cities of Bulgaria, cultural centers and art shows in the Balkan and European countries.
