BALKAN PHOTOGRAPHIC FORUM - PRED MEN is a photographic event which takes place within one calendar year. Organizers of the event are visual-art-studio CREATIVE HALL and chain stores PhotoSynthesis. The first stage of the publication for 2009 starts with 2 photographic exhibitions dedicated to the legend HASSELBLAD, which opened on September 14, 2009 from 18 pm at City Art Gallery - Lovech.

Photographic marks Hasselblad is a benchmark for the highest quality professional photography. Within BALKAN PHOTOGRAPHIC FORUM - PRED MEN, 2009 to present 10 of the best masters of photographic art in the world, winning the prestigious International Prize for Photography Hasselblad Masters Awards /collection is provided by PhotoSynthesis - official representative of a Hasselblad for Bulgaria/. Each year Hasseblad Masters characterized by a photographer in the 10 competition categories - architecture, reportage, fashion, art photography, general photography, nature and landscape, portrait, product and wedding photography as well as a separate category "upcoming" for new talent . They are awarded in recognition of professional photographers with outstanding contribution to the art.
Another exhibition - GAME OF LUCK is exhibition of the winner of the First Price of last year's National Photographic session, PRED MEN, 2008 - Eugenia Maximova. It presents the author's draft of 35 photographs taken by her beloved Hasselblad. The photographs were shot in different parts of the world and are exposed in several series in the form of installation.
The exhibition will remain in Lovech until the end of September.

BULGARIAN PHOTOGRAPHY - SELECTED presents Photographic Academy, 12-30 August in National Art Gallery, Sofia.
One of the most significant photographic events in recent 20 years will be held at the National Art Gallery in Sofia. On 12.08.2009 by 19 pm will open the exhibition "Bulgarian Photography - Selected". The exhibition makes a review of the history of photography for Bulgaria 1916 - 2009. There are 381 photographs submitted by more than 100 of the most prominent Bulgarian artists over the years.
The name "chosen" is not accidental, as the exhibition is organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the National Association Photographic Academy and presents the selection of the best records of the organization, which numbers 5,000 works.
The exhibition can be visited until 30 August.
Album was issued, which includes not only photographs, displayed in the exhibition, and other staff of the Bulgarian emblematic photograph, selected from the archives of the association. It can be purchased at the opening, and in the office of Photographic Academy.

PhotoSynthesis presents the exhibition "Forbidden Zone" of Elena Yoncheva and Nikolai Stoikov from the 7th until the 26th of August in a PhotoSynthesis store - Varna. Two Bulgarian journalists - Elena Yoncheva and Nikolai Stoykov travel for 20 days through Israel and Palestinian territories - the West Bank and Gaza, and shoot one of the most tragic moments in recent history of both nations. Photographs were taken in January 2009 in the cities of Jerusalem, and Gaza. Photos are reverberations of the long conflict between Israel and Palestine, in particular the effects of Israelian bombing over Gaza.
Opening will be held from 18:30 to 7.08 pm in PhotoSynthesis store - Varna (24, Tzar Osvoboditel blvd). At 20:00 pm after the opening there will be screening of the documentary film "Hamas - a restricted area”, where the authors expand their story of these events.
